Bart, it seems to me that a big part of the problem is that we, as parents, cannot expect any longer that our youth will learn Judeo-Christian values in our public schools. It hasn't been that way for many years, and it's about time we realize that.

As parents, many of us have fallen short in that area as well; and many of our churches have sadly failed in the most-basic task of leading our children in the "way that leads to life eternal".

What we must do is assume that our children are "churchians" at best, and not really Christians, and do whatever we can, in whatever time we have left, to lead our children to faith in Christ. We parents must do this; we can't even assume that our churches will.

But we can also do whatever we can to make sure that our churches do teach and preach the Gospel in order to lead our youth to repentance.

(BTW, it's good to see the new blog!)
